Show me a cancellation
Cancel a visit in the EMR while I watch, and show me the queued reminder disappearing. Not a slide — the actual record.
Why us
We looked at more than twenty companies selling OpenEMR services. They are largely selling the same five things to each other's customers — and none of those five things is the reason your patients cannot book online.
The market
Read enough of these websites and the offering converges: managed hosting with an uptime promise, patching and a help desk, custom encounter forms, data migration from a legacy system, and training. Several add billing services. A few add an AI form builder or a marketing suite.
| What they offer | Do we? | Honestly |
|---|---|---|
| Managed OpenEMR hosting, uptime SLA, backups | no | Buy this from a specialist. Several are good and it is a commodity. |
| 24/7 help desk and patch management | no | Same. We support our own software, not your EMR. |
| Custom encounter forms and templates | no | That is work inside OpenEMR, and we do not modify OpenEMR. |
| Migration off a legacy EHR | the tool | Vendors sell this as a project. We ship the tool: it reads the old system's bulk export, counts every record and tells you what will not land, before anything is written. |
| Taking your data out again | yes | Every record this workspace holds, decrypted, one per line — on request, whether or not you are leaving happy. |
| Training your staff on OpenEMR | no | Buy it from whoever hosts you. |
| Self-booking that writes into the diary | yes | Almost nobody offers this, because it needs the write path to actually work. |
| Reminders that stop when a visit is cancelled | yes | Widely claimed. Ask for a demonstration. |
| Referral tracking with a sender-facing status page | yes | The specialist practice's biggest unanswered question. |
| Denials read out of the 835 into a worklist | yes | Billing services do the work for you; we make it visible to you. |
| Ambient notes in Indian languages | yes | Most scribe tools are English-first. |
| Telehealth video | yes | One to one, browser to browser. The picture and sound never reach our server, so there is nothing for us to keep. |
| Chronic care management and remote monitoring billing | yes | Qualified by the month's own minutes and readings, never by a checkbox — and it tells you what is still missing. |
The distinction
A support vendor makes your EMR run well. We make the things happen that your EMR was never designed to do. Those are different jobs and they are not really competing — the mistake is hiring one and expecting the other.
Practically: keep your hosting arrangement, keep your help desk, and point us at the API. We need one credential and no changes to your installation.
Nothing. One OAuth2 client is issued, and that is the whole of it.
Removing us is revoking that credential. Your EMR is exactly as it was.
Due diligence

Mine, for my clinic, including your staff's access. Then try to edit a past entry as an administrator and show me what happens.
A vendor with no ready answer has not tested the limits of their own integration, and you will find them instead — six weeks in.
Where we are weakest
No independent penetration test yet. Video consultations are one to one only. Our SMS, payment, clearinghouse and speech-to-text integrations are all built and tested, and none of them has run against a live paid account.
If any of those is your first requirement, a specialist will serve you better today, and we would rather say so now.
