Platform

Three products, kept deliberately separate.

Certified OpenEMR, hosted exactly as it ships. ONEemr, a modern EMR on the same database. And Essentials — 25 modules that reach any EMR through the Bridge. Use one, two or all three; none of them depends on the others to keep your records safe.

Clinicians, the front desk, billing — and patients
The OpenEMR database — the patient record, in a shape any OpenEMR can read
or another EMR, through its adaptor
ONEemr and OpenEMR share one database. Essentials never touches a database it does not own: everything it reads or writes goes through the Bridge, over the EMR’s published API.

Choose your combination

Start with the part that hurts most

Nothing here is a bundle. Each combination below is a real way clinics run it, and moving between them never needs a migration.

Just OpenEMR

Hosted, backed up, restore-drilled and monitored — the application your staff already know, run properly.

OpenEMR

OpenEMR and ONEemr

A modern front end for the people who want one, while anyone who prefers the original keeps it. Both show the same patient.

OpenEMRONEemr

Either, plus Essentials

Reminders, booking, notes, claims — switched on one at a time, working the same whichever screen your staff are on.

OpenEMR or ONEemrEssentials

Essentials on its own

In front of another EMR through its adaptor — or with none at all: referrals, denials, webhooks and reports need no EMR, and reminders can run from a spreadsheet or an HL7 feed.

The rules underneath

Why it is safe to put together

Nobody edits the core

OpenEMR’s files are pinned to the published release by checksum. If a single byte differs, the check fails — so the certified version is the one running.

Ask before writing

The Bridge declares what each EMR allows, per record and per operation. Something the EMR cannot take is queued for a person, never reported as done.

Leaving is one export

Everything Essentials holds exports decrypted, in a format anyone can read, and ONEemr never moved your records in the first place.

Essentials

Five areas, 25 modules

Every module, with screens

See all three on one demo.

Book an appointment as a patient, find it in OpenEMR’s own calendar, and watch the reminder disappear when it is cancelled.
